TL;DR
- Since first revealed earlier this year, Google has only officially shown off the back of the Pixel 7 Pro.
- A new image posted on the company’s Pixel Superfans Facebook page has given us our first official look at the front of the Pixel 7 Pro.
- The image seems to show off a screen that’s slightly less curved.
Since the Pixel 7 series was first revealed earlier this year at Google I/O, the Mountain View-based company has shown us numerous renders of the devices in its marketing. However, in all of that marketing, the tech giant has carefully avoided showing us the front of the Pixel 7 Pro. Now it looks like Google is ready to bare it all.
If you didn’t know, Google has a superfans Facebook page for Pixel lovers called “Pixel Superfans Community.” This group happens to be a private community, so only members can see what’s posted on the page. However, like any other group on Facebook, this Facebook page has a public-facing image header.
The Pixel Superfans Community Facebook page has recently changed the picture for its header. The new picture features two Pixel Watches, the new Pixel Buds, and two Pixel 7 Pros. One of those Pixel 7 Pros shows us the back as we’ve seen before, but the second phone shows us the front side of the device.
This marks the first time we’ve seen the Google Pixel 7 Pro display in an official manner. Based on the image, it appears as if the screen is slightly less curved than its predecessor. According to 9To5Google, this seems to line up with previous hands-on with early units.
Does a flatter screen sound like something you want for the Pixel 7 Pro? We recently asked our readers in a poll about how they feel about curved or flat phone screens. After 14,000 votes, it appears that 45.68% of the voters hate curved screens. The people who love curved screens came in at 20.13% and 26.20% said they didn’t care either way.
