Adobe’s latest October update finally added RAW photo support for Google’s Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones. This way, owners can do more with their phones by throwing high-quality RAW photos into Lightroom.
While Google’s new phone uses the same cameras as last year’s Pixel 6, it still took Adobe a little while to ensure everything works as expected. For what it’s worth, Adobe took several months to add the Pixel 6 series, so users will be glad to see the impressive new Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro already receive support.
It’s worth noting that the updated list includes the Pixel 7 family, iPhone 14, and several others. This update is available now for Adobe Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, and Camera Raw, giving aspiring mobile photographers more tools at their disposal.
While this was technically already possible for Pixel 7 owners using Lightroom, having official support makes it easier and offers more features like color profiles and more.
Don’t forget to turn on RAW support inside your Pixel 7 camera app, then go out and take some great photos. If you’ve yet to pick up Google’s new phone, grab the latest Pixel 7 Pro from our link below.
