TL;DR
- Specs of the Xiaomi 13 Pro have leaked, suggesting the phone will get an upgraded primary shooter.
- A slightly larger battery, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, and other refreshes are also on the cards.
We’re almost hitting November, which means we may be a month or so away from the launch of the Xiaomi 13 series. It also means that it’s time for leaks to start pouring in about the next set of Xiaomi flagships. Today’s tip comes from reliable leaker Yogesh Brar, who took to Twitter to reveal the specs of the so-called Xiaomi 13 Pro.
According to the leaked information, the upcoming Xiaomi flagship will once again benefit from the phone maker’s partnership with Leica. The triple 50MP rear camera setup is poised to make a comeback. However, this time, Xiaomi may be upgrading to the 1-inch IMX989 sensor we previously saw on the China-exclusive Xiaomi 12S Ultra.
Xiaomi 13 Pro
– 6.7″ E6 2K LTPO
– Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
– 8/12GB RAM
– 128/256/512GB storage
– Rear Cam: 50MP (1″ IMX989) + 50MP (UW) + 50MP (Tele)
– Front Cam: 32MP
– Android 13, MIUI 14*
– 4,800mAh battery, 120W fast charging
– Surge C2, P2 chip
– Leica color science
Xiaomi worked with Sony to co-develop the sensor for a whopping $15 million. It aims to deliver better light capture, faster focusing, and improved dynamic range capabilities. The company previously claimed that the sensor can capture 76% more light than the iPhone 13 Pro Max sensor.
Elsewhere, the Xiaomi 13 Pro could retain most of the same specs as its predecessor, the Xiaomi 12 Pro. Brar lists the same 6.7-inch LTPO display, a 32MP front camera, and 120W charging with a slightly bigger 4,800mAh battery. An obvious change is the unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, a yearly refresh Xiaomi almost always makes.
RAM and storage options also look standard, with 8/12GB options for the former and 128/256/512 GB for the latter.
