Samsung is continuing the rollout of its Android 13-based One UI 5 beta update. The latest phones that will gain access to Samsung’s beta program are the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Since Google released Android 13, Samsung has been gradually extending its beta version of the update to its family of phones. It first came to the Galaxy S22 series, then proceeded to come to the S21 series and S20 series. What’s kind of surprising, however, is the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 both joined the beta program before the current versions of Samsung’s foldables.
Now it looks like the beta program is finally ready to come out to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4. In order to access the beta, owners will have to use the Samsung Members app. Through the app, you’ll find a banner announcing the beta. Click on the banner and it will take you to where you need to sign up. Once you’re signed up, you’ll get a notification when the beta firmware is ready for download.
In addition to the US, it appears the beta is also available to a few other regions including Korea and India, according to 9To5Google.
As for when the stable version of One UI 5 will come out, Samsung announced at SDC 2022 that Galaxy S22 devices can expect the update at the end of the month. Meanwhile, other phones will have it by the end of the year.
